Second Show & Tell Saturday!

The first event was so much fun that I'm having a second go-round on May 24th from 3-5. If you have a technique or interesting work that you want to share, bring it - if you just want to come and watch and steal ideas, do it. It's very informal and unstructured, but you won't believe how much you'll take away in new ideas. (Food and libation as usual, too) Here's a link to the last Show & Tell.

This is such a cool idea- an online summer art camp, and I'm teaching there! My first class is called Artful Faces, and you'll learn how to create embellished clay faces to use in there separate projects. The second class is Collage on Canvas featuring some new fabric transfer tips and interesting acrylic techniques. It's a great way to ease into no-stress creative time at your own pace.

Artful Gathering Faculty Videos - In Studio!

No matter where we live, or how many miles separate us, our studios are open to participating attendees world-wide. Workshop filming is done for you, by each artist with hopes that you can enjoy the comfort and intimacy of their own personal studios and workshops. We invite you into our creative worlds, from Sydney, Australia where Keith Lo Bue’s Stuffsmith Studio is located, also joining us is Luthien Thye and she shows us her amazing inspirations from Malaysia. From Selm, Germany Anna Schueler teaches in her studio, and in Okanagan, Canada where Joanna Grant teaches. Lyn Belisle joins us from her working studio in San Antonio Texas…as well as many amazing U.S. based artists!

Lyn Belisle Studio, a place of creative belonging, is located at 1824 Nacogdoches Road, SAT 78209. The Studio opened in January of 2013 and is a comfortable, informal venue for creativity of all kinds. The Studio is home base for many creative workshops by Lyn and guests artists such as Michelle Belto, Sherrill Kahn and Jill Scher. It has been the site for poetry readings and house concerts. Most events are listed on my webpage, If you have questions, ideas for workshops, requests for meeting space, or just want to drop by for a cup of coffee, email me at or call 210-860-9468. Because this is a working studio (and because I still have a day job teaching at Trinity University) I cannot guarantee I'll be at the Studio during regular business hours, but I'm usually just a short distance away and would love to schedule an appointment.
