City of Niagara Falls: Halloween & October Updates
Halloween During COVID-19 - How to celebrate the spookiest time of year safely
Halloween During COVID-19
With Halloween this weekend, we'd like to remind our residents how to celebrate the spookiest time of the year safely:

🎃 Only trick-or-treat outside.
👻 Don't go trick-or-treating if feeling ill, even if symptoms are minor.
🎃 Minimize contact with others: trick-or-treat with members of your direct household, remain within your community, and stay 2 metres (6 feet) apart.
👻 Trick-or-treaters should wear a face covering.
🎃 Choose costumes that allow a face covering to be worn - make sure you can see and breathe comfortably. A costume mask is not a substitute for a face covering and should not be worn over a face covering as it may make it difficult to breathe. Consider building a face covering into your, or your child’s costume.
👻 Do not congregate or linger at doorsteps. Line up 2 metres (6 feet) apart if waiting.
🎃 Avoid high-touch surfaces and objects.
👻 Wash hands often and thoroughly, or use hand sanitizer.

🎃 Don't hand out candy if feeling ill or isolating.
👻 Wear a face covering that fully covers your nose and mouth.
🎃 Consider using tongs, or other similar tools to hand out pre-packaged candy to avoid handling treats.
👻 Do not leave treats in a bucket or bowl for children to grab.
🎃 Wash hands often and thoroughly, or use hand sanitizer.

🎃 We've created posters (below) residents are welcome to print out, placing on their doors or windows. Click on the images to download, or download from
Welcome Trick-or-treaters - we're open for business
Sorry, no candy here - treat you next year!
