Free Grocery Giveaway: Open to Everyone in Need
Another Free Grocery Giveaway for everyone in need will take place this Friday, December 18th starting at 2:00 PM at the MacBain Community Centre. This will be the 3rd exceptional display of generosity from the same anonymous donor. This will be a contact-less drive-thru event. Please empty your trunk before attending & remember to be courteous while waiting your turn.

Holiday Closures: City of Niagara Falls
City of Niagara Falls administrative offices will be closed on the following dates:
- Thursday, December 24, 2020
- Friday, December 25, 2020
- Thursday, December 31, 2020
- Friday, January 1, 2021
Even when administrative offices are closed, the City is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to emergency situations. During the holiday closure, or after regular business hours, please call 905-356-1355 in the event of a municipal service related emergency. Niagara Falls Transit will be operating the following holiday schedule:

- Holiday WEGO Red & Blue line and Regular City Service until 11PM.
- Friday, December 25*, 2020:
- No Service (WEGO Red and Blue line and City Service will not be running).
- Saturday, December 26,* 2020:
- Holiday WEGO Red & Blue and Holiday City Service
- Sunday, December 27*, 2020:
- Holiday WEGO Red and Blue line and Sunday City Service
- Thursday, December 31, 2020:
- Holiday WEGO Red & Blue line and regular City Service until 11PM.

Holiday Collection Changes
Waste collection will not take place on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. Friday, December 25 collection will take place on Saturday, December 26 and Friday, January 1 collection will take place on Saturday, January 2. Check your collection schedule for details. Indoor Walking Track at MacBain Community Centre
The MacBain Community Centre indoor walking track, located at 7150 Montrose Road, is now open to residents of Niagara Falls! Extreme Cold Weather Relief
This winter, anyone seeking relief from the extreme cold is welcome to keep warm and stay safe at warming centres at the Niagara Falls History Museum and the Niagara Falls Public Library (Victoria Avenue Branch) between the hours of 10:00AM and 4:00PM, during a declared Extreme Cold Weather event. Christmas Tree Collection: January 11 - 15
Christmas tree collection will take place on your regular collection day during the week of January 11 - 15, 2021. Artificial trees are not collected. Use the large item collection service to dispose of artificial trees. Be sure to remove ALL decorations. Do not bag your tree and, for the safety of collection workers, do not stick it inside or on top of any snow banks. For more information, please visit niagararegion.ca.
