Meet the Young Entrepeneurs of Summer Company 2019
The end of June marked the official beginning of Summer Company 2019. Each year, the Niagara Falls and St. Catharines Small Business Enterprise Centres accept ambitious student entrepreneurs into the Ontario Summer Company Program. Qualifying students benefit from a $3000 grant to put towards starting up their own summer business and receive training and mentorship to learn how to succeed. 

This year, five students were accepted into the program through the Niagara Falls office. Stay tuned for updates on their businesses and how you can support them!

The SBEC Relocates

In April, the Niagara Falls SBEC relocated into a new office at 4343 Morrison Street. The newly renovated, City owned building is home to incubation space as well as other municipal staff. Come check out the new digs!

Summer Company Student Wins Award

Congratulations to Sarah Chan for winning a Gene Luczkiw Spirit of Enterprise Award at the 2019 Niagara Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. In 2017 Sarah participated in our Summer Company program, starting her own home made jewelry company, Rozati Jewelry.

Local Businesses Learn TripAdvisor

Eager to tap into the millions of tourists visiting Niagara, 15 local businesses tuned into the SBEC's first ever TripAdvisor workshop. Each business learned how to set up and optimize a TripAdvisor account, leveraging the worlds largest travel platform.
