MYAC students prepare exam survival kits ahead of the 2019 exam season
With the generous support of Enbridge Gas Distribution, the Niagara Falls Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee (MYAC) has been implementing a series of mental wellness projects for teens since December. Leading up to the perennially stressful exam season, the student led projects bring study skills, self-care, contests, giveaways, visits with therapy dogs, exam survival kits and more to high school students across Niagara Falls. Learn more about the project at

Let's Talk: Cannabis Retail Stores and Use in Public Spaces
Should we allow cannabis retail stores in our city? Should we allow cannabis use in public spaces? Council votes on January 15 and wants to hear from the residents of Niagara Falls. Learn more and share your thoughts at or register with the City Clerk to speak at the January 15 Council Meeting. The deadline for both is Friday, January 11 at 4 PM.

Whether you're a novice or can skate circles around your friends, make the most of the season at the City's two arenas: the Gale Centre and Chippawa (Willoughby) Arena. Check our schedules for skate times and programs (Adult/Senior, Tiny Tots, public free skate or stick and puck). Details are posted online at
The indoor walking track at the Niagara Falls YMCA (MacBain Community Centre)
Stay fit and keep on track this winter! 
The Niagara Falls YMCA is opening up their indoor walking track, free of charge and without membership, to residents of Niagara Falls (ages 16+). Until February 28, you can walk comfortably every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please present valid government issued ID at the front desk. Learn more at

30th Sports Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony
The 30th Sports Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Gale Centre. Everyone is welcome. These are the 2018 inductees:

The prestigious T. Roy Adams Humanitarian of the Year is awarded annually by Niagara Region to a current resident of Niagara to honour the memory of the late T. Roy Adams. This is the 17th year of the Award.
