Disability Employment Awareness Month

Celebrating & Supporting Inclusive Employment
B.C. has proclaimed September as Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM). DEAM is a time to celebrate, acknowledge, and promote the significant contributions of people with disabilities and employers who demonstrate inclusion and leadership in the workplace.
People with disabilities continue to experience multiple barriers to employment and DEAM offers an opportunity for B.C. communities to come together, build awareness, and take action.
As the provincial hub for the MentorAbility project Inclusion BC will be celebrating DEAM by hosting two webinars and a contest. Nationally DEAM is recognized during October and in B.C. during September. To acknowledge DEAM both provincially and nationally we will be hosting these events throughout both months.
