Congratulations Bourbon for Being Selected as One of America's Best Bourbon Bars by Bourbon Review Magazine!

Bourbon is a whiskey bar with a locally-inspired Cajun-Creole kitchen located at 1214 Main Street. Opened in the spring of 2014, they occupy one of the oldest buildings remaining on Main Street, the Brennan Building, constructed in 1869 by John Brennan.  Bourbon offers over 400 whiskeys! Only Bourbon and Husk made the list from South Carolina.  Bravo!

Columbia Dance Club The Woody to Open on Main Street

The Woody, one of the few dance clubs in the Midlands, shut down its location in the Vista.  It’s scheduled to move into a space twice the size this fall at 1649 Main Street.   According to a press release from Garvin Design Group, the new Woody will occupy the ground and garden levels of the building where Hendrix has been occupying the upper level and rooftop since last November.

The City Center Partnership is Proud to Report the August Numbers from Our Yellow Shirt Team

Since 2002, CCP’s Yellow Shirts have been providing public safety and improving the cleanliness of the Main Street District.  The ambassadors maintain contact with businesses and provide information to visitors, shoppers, workers, and residents; and provide cleaning services for the 36-block district.   In 2008, CCP launched its complimentary shuttle, which has increased in popularity over the years. To request free shuttle transportation within the Main Street District, call 803-309-7758 or for customer service call 803-587-7831.

Palmetto LUNA Arts Collection: Ten Years in the Making

Who is City Center Partnership and the BID?
In 2001, City Center Partnership was formed to manage the downtown Business Improvement District in the 36-block area bounded by Gervais, Elmwood, Assembly and Marion streets in Columbia, SC. The organization provides public space management, economic development, place management, marketing services, and public advocacy for the Main Street District.
The Board of Directors oversee the organization’s mission — to focus on filling vacancies in commercial properties, retaining existing downtown businesses and recruiting new ones, expanding the downtown residential base, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly downtown environment.
