Congratulations Hotel Trundle & Boudreaux on Receiving the South Carolina Historic Preservation’s Honor Award

The combination of the boutique Hotel Trundle and BOUDREAUX’s architectural studio was recently recognized by South Carolina Department of Archives and History, Preservation South Carolina, and the Office of the Governor with an Honor Award as part of their 2020 Historic Preservation Awards.

Welcome Family Fresh Mex to the Main Street District

Family Fresh Mex is now open at 1200 Main Street (Behind the ABC Columbia building).  Customers may recognize the name from the food truck at Soda City Market, but now you can eat with Family Fresh Mex any day of the week at the new physical location. Hours for lunch and breakfast are Sunday - Friday (7 am - 3 pm), and on Saturdays, the food truck will continue to serve food at the Soda City Market.

Transmission Arcade Now Open to the Public

Transmission Arcade is now open every Wednesday through Friday from 4 - 11 pm.  They will be adding even more COVID precautions to create the safest environment possible for customers. Stay tuned for more details.

The Space is Now Open at the Hub at Columbia

A new office co-working concept geared towards students and young professionals is now open at the Hub at Columbia.

The Space offers workshops, networking opportunities, and mentorships designed to provide professional and personal growth to help members stand out in a competitive job landscape.

Yarnbombers of Columbia is Working on Winter Wonderland which will be Featured on Main Street

The Winter Wonderland installation will take place in mid-November and will be on display throughout the holiday season. The festive scene will include transforming all of the lamp posts into candy canes and other winter scenes along five blocks of Main Street, from Tapp's to the State House. City Center Partnership’s 19th Annual Celebration is Going to be Virtual this Year!

Who is City Center Partnership and the BID?
In 2001, City Center Partnership was formed to manage the downtown Business Improvement District in the 36-block area bounded by Gervais, Elmwood, Assembly and Marion streets in Columbia, SC. The organization provides public space management, economic development, place management, marketing services, and public advocacy for the Main Street District.
The Board of Directors oversee the organization’s mission — to focus on filling vacancies in commercial properties, retaining existing downtown businesses and recruiting new ones, expanding the downtown residential base, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly downtown environment.
