Private-Sector Employment Grew 4 Times Faster Than Government in 2015

The private workforce expanded by 2.7 percent over the past 12 months, while local government jobs expanded by approximately 0.3 percent. The most government employees were added at the federal level, but even there, the rate of workforce expansion was less than one percent.
