In the spirit of growing wiser, we wanted to share the top three things we’ve learned in 2013. We hope that you take what we've learned and run with it. Here's to holiday cheer and a great new year.
—Your friends at Great Monday

People need a place to talk company culture.

At July's Bold Italic panel on work culture, the audience was teeming with questions. We knew the conversation needed more than a single evening, so we did something about it.

Theories are easy,
practice is hard.

Here at Great Monday, we’re fond of thinking that top-notch strategy is primarily a cerebral activity. Teaching for the first time this fall, however, has proven to Josh otherwise.

Everybody needs
a purpose trajectory.

This year's most popular post was on the Purpose Trajectory, and for good reason. All workers (yes, you) need to find the tether that aligns their goals with organizational goals.

"If you want to build a ship, don't gather people to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather, teach them to long for the immensity of the sea."
When we stumbled upon this quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry earlier this year, we thought some of our friends, colleagues, and clients might like it as much as we do. If you'd like a copy of the poster, just send us a quick email with your name and mailing address. We'd be happy to send you one.
