A letter regarding next week's Vision Screening was in each parent's file.
Please return the signed permission slip to the Preschool Office, if you haven't already done so.
THANK YOU
to the Berryhill family. Joe and Anne (Henry's parents), have helped us plant this year's spring garden. We're looking forward to caring for our plants, watching them grow and eating the fresh vegetables at snack time. Our little garden has become a regular addition to our yard over the past few years. It's great having parent participation, as well as the children's, in our outdoor environment.
2015-16 REGISTRATION
Here is the registration form and fee schedule for 2015-16, which are also in the parent files. Currently enrolled children have a priority enrollment period of March 23 to April 3. If parents want to make changes in enrollment, i.e. days of attendance, preschool to daycare, now is the time to do so. When the registration form and fee ($50 for continuing children) are brought to the office, families will receive a few forms that need to be updated for the new school year.
Beginning the week of April 6, new families will be contacted for enrollment. Space in TBI Preschool 2015-16 is only reserved for your child once the registration form and fee have been brought in.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT
Parents can help children explore the world of science with simple play experiences. See the article, "Toys as Tools: Everyday Science Experiments" here.
One of our most recommended parenting books is Blessing of a Skinned Knee by psychologist and speaker Wendy Mogel. Dr. Mogel gives very common sense advice, with references to Jewish teachings, on raising children in a way that helps them learn from their mistakes. You can listen to this podcast of Dr. Mogel's, The Red Washcloth. as she speaks about the need for children to face challenges. Parents are also welcome to borrow the school copy of this book, check with Deborah in the Preschool Office.

PASSOVER
The Preschool Children's Seder is Friday, April 3, 10:00 a.m. This is an all-school seder in the TBI Social Hall, led by Rabbi Jonathan and Cantor Paul. Parents are needed to make haroset, prepare the plates and set the tables...as a bonus, parent helpers who are here can participate with their children in the seder. The ingredients for the seder will be here, we just need some parent/grandparent volunteers to be here at 9:00 to put it all together.
If you have some free time Friday morning, April 3, we need your help.
The sign up sheet is on the office bulletin board. Thanks!

The Temple Beth Israel Congregational Seder is Saturday, April 4. More information is on this flyer. The community is invited, reservations are required.
A pre-Passover event, for adults, at TBI on March 28. More information at this link.
Read about the Passover holiday, rituals, food and more here.
You can view a booklet on the Interfaith Families website about setting the Passover table, with helpful suggestions for creating your own family seder.
