A Toast to 50 and beyond

Gary and Georgia Miller hosted a capstone event to a busy 50th Anniversary year, aptly named 50 and Forward. The event, on Friday, May 4, made possible by private contributions, was a fitting finale, culminating with a toast to the future of UW-Green Bay. See more.

Farewell, Kumar

On Saturday, Kumar Kangayappan will represent UWGB for the final time as its senior faculty member. After a teaching career that spanned nearly half a century, the economics (Urban and Regional Studies) professor is retiring. His friends, peers and colleagues hosted a retirement party in his honor this week. Thank you Kumar, and enjoy the photos.

Social Work SymposiumStudents, family, friends and community and campus partners attended the first Social Work Symposium and Celebration in Rose Hall last Thursday (May 5). The Symposium showcased major student projects, research and advocacy class efforts, and activities from student organizations: Campus Cupboard, Campus Kitchen and Social Work Club. See photos.

Decorating mortarboards as individual expression or a parting sentiment is a growing trend for graduating seniors at UW-Green Bay. Here is Sam Konshak’s, a senior graphics student, who with the help of UW-Green Bay faculty and staff, built an impressive portfolio and begins work as a graphic designer with a local marketing agency on Monday. It’s apparent that a semester interning with Disney influenced her design.
