A heartfelt thanks from the Frank family! Tyler and the girls were gifted the gift cards we collected as a school and church on Monday. We were able to present him with over $700 in food, gas, groceries and more! You can see that Quinn already found her favorite card! Quinn, Carter and Tyler got to go to McDonald's that day for lunch and the kids was so excited!

Thank you for keeping this family in your prayers throughout such an unimaginable time in their lives. The Holy Spirit is working hard in their hearts, as they are reminded that God is with them and will hold them up and together. Continue to pray for them!
Are you ready - really ready, truly ready - for Jesus?
What would that even mean?

We have one final midweek meditation during Advent called "Ready or Not". This time we will consider the "dirty insider" with Luke 11:27-52.

Wednesday at 7pm for about 30 minutes, December 16, on Facebook and YouTube LIVE.

"Let every heart prepare him room, and heav'n and nature sing!"

These words from the hymn Joy to the World are often sung at Christmas, but the words are a perfect match for Advent. The words call us to prepare our hearts for Jesus' coming on the Last Day.

We will begin our new church year this Sunday with this hymn as we get ready each week of Advent for Jesus' coming: Look! - Prepare! - Rejoice! - Believe!

Readings for this Sunday
Isaiah 61:1–3,10,11
1 Thessalonians 5:16–24
John 1:6–8, 19-28

ATTENTION!!! Help us plan for Christmas 2020! Since it still looks like we will be able to have worship in-person for Christmas this year, please check out the registration events for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Right now, we have 4pm and 6pm services planned for Christmas Eve (4pm features the Sunday Schoolers), and a 10am service on Christmas Day.

If we fill up the services for either day, we can always add another. We plan to have a 10pm Christmas Eve Candlelight as a third option as needed and can do an 8am Christmas Day option.

Link to use our "pre-friendship register".  You can also use the calendar links below.

Please do what you are comfortable with as far as attending in-person or worshiping from home. And, of course, if you are not feeling well, please join us online at 10am on Facebook or YouTube!
(You don't need an actual, printed ticket to get in, of course. This is just a digital tool that helps us see the number of people planning to come, as we are limited to 50 people or less per service. Thanks!)
Our Church Council would like to express great thanks at the many ways members have expressed and demonstrated their generosity and love for our Savior this year. We give because He first gave to us!

Please GIVE HERE. This is a safe and convenient way to give our offerings. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Rogers at 720-839-6021. He can help walk you through either a one time offering, or even help you set up a reoccurring offering.
Week of 11/29-12/06 givings: $2549.03

Remember in Prayer...
  • Pam Griffin - (Morning Westerberg's mother) - Battling cancer. Pray that the Lord might open her heart that she might see the light of God's love in Jesus.
  • Merlin Camrud - Experiencing significant pain and challenges related to his physical health. If you know Merlin, say a prayer, give him a call, and give thanks to God for preserving his life through so much adversity the last few months!
  • Susan Bondow - (Pastor's mother) - Ongoing treatment for leukemia expected to end in 2021. The treatments have been working wonderfully thus far. Still a long road ahead, but feeling beyond blessed!
Don't forget to pray for the work we are able to do together as part of the WELS (Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod). Here is a suggestion:
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing – Lord Jesus, you show compassion to all. Give us hearts with your compassion for those who are deaf and hard of hearing. Open our eyes to their special needs and bless the work of our churches as we reach out and share the message of salvation with them. May this gospel message serve as a bridge to a deeper fellowship and a stronger connection with these brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen.
