A Note of Thanksgiving from Pastor:
THANK YOU!
Many thanks to you all for your support and encouragement so far this year, and especially for the birthday wishes, cards and gifts. I am overwhelmed with your kindness and so appreciative. Even as I write this, Moses' words in Psalm 90 (coming up on Sunday) ring in my ears that we "number our days aright" with the wisdom God gives through the Word to know the purpose of time, the gift of God's grace that remains extended to us as long as he chooses. He is using and blessing your time in my life and my time in yours. It's what he does. While I pray for a simpler, less "covid-complicated" opportunity to get closer to all of you, at the same time I recognize the most important thing is our being close to God, which ultimately brings us closer together as well. The Lord bless us all toward that end!

Pastor Daniel

11-08-2020

Who's ready? Over the final three weeks of the church year, we get to prepare ourselves for today and for the Last Day, the harvest day of the Lord. Each Sunday (November 8, 15, and 22) features a section from Matthew 25 to shape our lives to be watchful, faithful and hopeful in keeping with the fact that our Jesus is coming again to take us home!

Readings for this Sunday
Psalm 90

Isaiah 52:1–6
1 Thessalonians 5:1–11
Matthew 25:1-13

THE RULES HAVE CHANGED!
New mandates that apply to houses of worship for Jefferson County allow us to gather at 25% of capacity in our space, which is about 35 people in our case. For the time being, our schedule remains as is, since most Sundays we are within the 35 number each service.

Please do what you are comfortable with as far as attending in-person or worshiping from home. And, of course, if you are not feeling well, please join us online at 10am on Facebook or YouTube!

PRE-FRIENDSHIP REGISTER FOR IN-PERSON WORSHIP
If you plan to come in-person for worship this Sunday, feel free to use our "pre-friendship register".  You can also use the calendar links below under "Upcoming Events".

(You don't need an actual, printed ticket to get in, of course. This is just a digital tool that helps us see the number of people planning to come, as we are limited to 50 people or less per service. Thanks!)

An ALL-NEW women's study group at Living Savior is starting up!

WHEN: November 5, tonight at 7pm
     WHERE: Church Basement Kitchen
WHAT: Besides getting together and catching up, we'll be focusing on Ecclesiastes
with material made by the Holy Hen House.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran has moved its play to the fall this year. The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon is a historical farce that combines many of the Brothers Grimm tales into one large and exciting extravaganza!

The Brothers Grim Spectaculathon will be performed on Friday, November 6 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, November 7 at 2:00 pm and at 6:00 pm. It will be performed at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.

Each performance is limited to an audience of 50 members; therefore, we ask that family members only attend one performance to allow others to be able to see the show.

Tickets are on sale now. Ticket prices are adults: $5 and children ages 0-17: free. Tickets can be purchased by visiting http://bit.ly/RMLTickets.
God loves a cheerful giver! We will be giving back to God online, primarily. Please GIVE HERE. This is a safe and convenient way to give our offerings. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Rogers at 720-839-6021. He can help walk you through either a one time offering, or even help you set up a reoccurring offering.

Remember in Prayer...
  • Barbara Bisceglia - Resident of Balfour and member of Living Savior - Barbara continues to heal at a new Balfour location that can meet her medical needs.
  • Bob Hutchison - Resident of Balfour and member of Living Savior - Aubin, Bob's wife, has won her race and wears her crown of victory. Aubin passed earlier this month. Pray for Bob and the family, as they mourn her earthly absence, but rejoice in her victory in Christ!
  • Peterson Family (Brandon, Melissa, Dylan and Blake)- Brandon has been deployed with the Navy. Please pray for their family, as they are going through a lot of transitions.
  • Pam Griffin - (Morning Westerberg's mother) - Battling cancer. Pray that the Lord might open her heart that she might see the light of God's love in Jesus.
  • Merlin Camrud - Experiencing significant pain and challenges related to his physical health. If you know Merlin, say a prayer, give him a call, and give thanks to God for preserving his life through so much adversity the last few months!
  • Susan Bondow - (Pastor's mother) - Ongoing treatment for leukemia expected to end in 2021. The treatments have been working wonderfully thus far. Still a long road ahead, but feeling beyond blessed!
Don't forget to pray for the work we are able to do together as part of the WELS (Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod). Here is a suggestion:
  • Mt. Lebanon, Milwaukee, Wis. – Lord, during this time of unrest and uncertainty, we ask you to be with congregations and missions in the cities of our country. We pray for Mt. Lebanon in Milwaukee. Guide the mission work they carry out especially through their school. Bless them as they strive to be for their community a community of love and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Amen.
