Are you ready - really ready, truly ready - for Jesus?
What would that even mean?

We're going to have a midweek mini-series during Advent called "Ready or Not" that will focus on Luke 11:27-52, meeting three groups who think they are ready, but really aren't. Over three Wednesdays, Jesus will help us consider what Christian readiness really means.

Wednesdays at 7pm for 30 minutes, December 2, 9 and 16, on Facebook and YouTube LIVE.

"Let every heart prepare him room, and heav'n and nature sing!"

These words from the hymn Joy to the World are often sung at Christmas, but the words are a perfect match for Advent. The words call us to prepare our hearts for Jesus' coming on the Last Day.

We will begin our new church year this Sunday with this hymn as we get ready each week of Advent for Jesus' coming: Look! - Prepare! - Believe! - Rejoice!

Readings for this Sunday
2 Peter 3:8–14
Mark 1:1–8

ATTENTION!!! Help us plan for Christmas 2020! Since it still looks like we will be able to have worship in-person for Christmas this year, please check out the registration events for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Right now, we have 4pm and 6pm services planned for Christmas Eve (4pm features the Sunday Schoolers), and a 10am service on Christmas Day.

If we fill up the services for either day, we can always add another. We plan to have a 10pm Christmas Eve Candlelight as a third option as needed and can do an 8am Christmas Day option.

Link to use our "pre-friendship register".  You can also use the calendar links below.

Please do what you are comfortable with as far as attending in-person or worshiping from home. And, of course, if you are not feeling well, please join us online at 10am on Facebook or YouTube!
(You don't need an actual, printed ticket to get in, of course. This is just a digital tool that helps us see the number of people planning to come, as we are limited to 50 people or less per service. Thanks!)
Our Church Council would like to express great thanks at the many ways members have expressed and demonstrated their generosity and love for our Savior this year. We give because He first gave to us!

Please GIVE HERE. This is a safe and convenient way to give our offerings. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Rogers at 720-839-6021. He can help walk you through either a one time offering, or even help you set up a reoccurring offering.

Remember in Prayer...
  • Barbara Bisceglia - Resident of Balfour and member of Living Savior - Barbara continues to heal at a new Balfour location that can meet her medical needs.
  • Bob Hutchison - Resident of Balfour and member of Living Savior - Aubin, Bob's wife, has won her race and wears her crown of victory. Aubin passed earlier this month. Pray for Bob and the family, as they mourn her earthly absence, but rejoice in her victory in Christ!
  • Peterson Family (Brandon, Melissa, Dylan and Blake)- Brandon has returned home! Praise be to God for keeping him safe and reuniting him with his family!
  • Pam Griffin - (Morning Westerberg's mother) - Battling cancer. Pray that the Lord might open her heart that she might see the light of God's love in Jesus.
  • Merlin Camrud - Experiencing significant pain and challenges related to his physical health. If you know Merlin, say a prayer, give him a call, and give thanks to God for preserving his life through so much adversity the last few months!
  • Susan Bondow - (Pastor's mother) - Ongoing treatment for leukemia expected to end in 2021. The treatments have been working wonderfully thus far. Still a long road ahead, but feeling beyond blessed!
Don't forget to pray for the work we are able to do together as part of the WELS (Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod). Here is a suggestion:
  • Academia Cristo – Holy Spirit, you have helped us find a surprisingly successful method of outreach in Latin America through smartphones. Thank you that through social media, the sharing of religious content, and training courses we have reached so many people including those helping to establish Bible study groups and congregations. Continue to bless our work in Latin America as well as in other regions of the world where we are trying a similar model of communicating your gospel. As we plant and water the seeds of faith, we entrust them to you to make them grow. Amen.
