It's time to fall back! Before you go to bed on Reformation Day/Halloween, set your clocks back 1 hour! November 1st is the end of Day Light Savings. Fall Back, Y'all!

Maturity About God's Word: Reformation Sunday
The Festival of the Lutheran Reformation of the Church emphasizes the true Church’s unfailing reliance on the Word of God and the unflinching testimony to it in the face of persecution. Jesus promised to pour out his Spirit on the Church that we might be God’s mouthpiece even before kings. Today the Church prays that the Lord give us the strength to be faithful and the peace of knowing our lives are safe in his hands.

Readings
Romans 3:19-28
Matthew 10:16-23
Psalm 46

THE RULES HAVE CHANGED!
New mandates that apply to houses of worship for Jefferson County allow us to gather at 25% of capacity in our space, which is about 35 people in our case. For the time being, our schedule remains as is, since most Sundays we are within the 35 number each service.

Please do what you are comfortable with as far as attending in-person or worshiping from home. And, of course, if you are not feeling well, please join us online at 10am on Facebook or YouTube!

PRE-FRIENDSHIP REGISTER FOR IN-PERSON WORSHIP
We will now have 3 services to accommodate the new mandates. If you plan to come in-person for worship this Sunday, feel free to use our "pre-friendship register".  You can also use the calendar links below under "Upcoming Events".

(You don't need an actual, printed ticket to get in, of course. This is just a digital tool that helps us see the number of people planning to come, as we are limited to 50 people or less per service. Thanks!)
DURING SUNDAY'S BIBLE HOUR:
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

November 1 at 9am

Time for some updates on what's been keeping us busy, a preview of the church budget, and other topics as we get ready for a new year under God and his gifts!

You are encouraged to both change your clocks for Daylight Savings on November 1 and join in the meeting that will take place between the worship services during the 9am Bible hour.

An ALL-NEW women's study group at Living Savior is starting up!

WHEN: November 5, a Thursday evening at 7pm
     WHERE: Church Basement Kitchen
WHAT: Besides getting together and catching up, we'll be focusing on Ecclesiastes
with material made by the Holy Hen House.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran has moved its play to the fall this year. The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon is a historical farce that combines many of the Brothers Grimm tales into one large and exciting extravaganza!

The Brothers Grim Spectaculathon will be performed on Friday, November 6 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, November 7 at 2:00 pm and at 6:00 pm. It will be performed at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.

Each performance is limited to an audience of 50 members; therefore, we ask that family members only attend one performance to allow others to be able to see the show.

Tickets are on sale now. Ticket prices are adults: $5 and children ages 0-17: free. Tickets can be purchased by visiting http://bit.ly/RMLTickets.
God loves a cheerful giver! We will be giving back to God online, primarily. Please GIVE HERE. This is a safe and convenient way to give our offerings. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Rogers at 720-839-6021. He can help walk you through either a one time offering, or even help you set up a reoccurring offering.

Remember in Prayer...
  • Barbara Bisceglia - Resident of Balfour and member of Living Savior - Barbara continues to heal at a new Balfour location that can meet her medical needs.
  • Bob Hutchison - Resident of Balfour and member of Living Savior - Aubin, Bob's wife, has won her race and wears her crown of victory. Aubin passed earlier this month. Pray for Bob and the family, as they mourn her earthly absence, but rejoice in her victory in Christ!
  • Peterson Family (Brandon, Melissa, Dylan and Blake)- Brandon has been deployed with the Navy. Please pray for their family, as they are going through a lot of transitions.
  • Pam Griffin - (Morning Westerberg's mother) - Battling cancer. Pray that the Lord might open her heart that she might see the light of God's love in Jesus.
  • Merlin Camrud - Experiencing significant pain and challenges related to his physical health. If you know Merlin, say a prayer, give him a call, and give thanks to God for preserving his life through so much adversity the last few months!
  • Susan Bondow - (Pastor's mother) - Ongoing treatment for leukemia expected to end in 2021. The treatments have been working wonderfully thus far. Still a long road ahead, but feeling beyond blessed!
Don't forget to pray for the work we are able to do together as part of the WELS (Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod). Here is a suggestion:
  • East Asia – Lord Jesus, we praise you for your enduring love that has worked salvation for us. We thank you for the privilege of the Great Commission to share this good news with all nations. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to begin mission work in East Asia a decade ago and for blessing those efforts despite government restrictions. Please guide our strategy now as missionaries have had to leave the country. Grow the house churches that are being led by national pastors. Help WELS as we train, mentor, and visit. May your gospel reap a rich harvest among the Chinese-speaking people of this region. Amen.
