Celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month!

BST is proud to celebrate Asian American & Pacific Islander Month this May! There have been so many AAPI people that have made significant contributions to make BST what it is today and we're so thankful for them and all AAPI people. Some recent contributions include Rev. Katie Choy-Wong joining the Board of Trustees this year, and recent DMin graduate Byung D. Min, who is working in the California prison system as a chaplain. Lia Rochill and Hanna Kang have taken on increased staff roles and been promoted here at BST. Additionally, Dean LeAnn Snow Flesher is working with the ABCUSA Asian Caucus (AAPI) to promote and increase AAPI visibility and involvement at BST and with our constituency. We are truly grateful for our AAPI faculty: Drs. Sam (Sangyl) Park, Daeseop Yi, Margareth and Wung Valui and Marie Onwubariri, whose teaching and presence ensure appreciation for AAPI perspectives in the classroom and beyond.

Congratulations to the BST Class of 2022!

This past Saturday we celebrated the graduation of our BST Class of 2022! In a wonderful ceremony we celebrated our BST Class of 2022 along with the LIAT (Leadership Institute at Allen Temple) Class of 2022. BST Professor and future GTU Academic Dean Dr. Jennifer Davidson gave the commencement address, reminding everyone to “Say Yes to the Resurrection” while Rev. Damonn White gave the student address. The entire afternoon was a joyous occasion to celebrate together in-person for the first time in 2 years. We are proud of our graduates who persevered through it all and accomplished so much and, who will go on to do great things in the church and world!

Enrollment poised for large fall class

BST’s fall enrollment is looking very promising as we move into the summer recruiting season. This week we’ve hosted several program-specific webinars for over 250 prospective students, and to date, we have over 3,000 prospective student inquires in response to our ads and outreach. We’re so thankful for our wonderful enrollment staff and all the hard work they’ve put in to bring us to this point. We look forward to continuing the recruiting momentum for the Fall ‘22 semester. If you know of anyone who would be interested in BST’s programs, please make sure you refer them to our admissions team at admissions@bst.edu
