Summer is here!
The final countdown to the start of the school holidays has officially started. We are so excited to share our summer plans to help you and your family find even more fun closer to home with your annual membership at Fairwood Lakes…
THE VILLAGE GREEN
From Tuesday 27th July, take a lakeside stroll to our private meadow which has been transformed into The Village Green, celebrating a truly Great British Summer for you and your family.
Step back in time and enjoy the carefree, feel-good days of summertime with our inflatable helter-skelter and vintage-inspired children’s lawn games, including limbo, connect 4 and croquet. Our new pop-up café on The Village Green will be serving sweet and savoury crêpes alongside a range of hot and cold drinks. We will also be preparing pre-ordered picnics at our main café for you to pick up and take down to The Village Green (£5 per child/£10 per adult picnic). Roll out a picnic rug provided by our team and unwind in style, all surrounded by hay bales and bunting. What better way to embrace the traditional fun of the Great British summer holidays?
The Village Green will be available every Tuesday and Thursday from 27th July to 31st August (10 a.m. – 4 p.m. No pre-booking required), with all activities included in your child’s annual membership. Nearby toilet facilities are signposted on the lakeside, just a short stroll from The Village Green. Pre-order your picnic the day before your visit via our ordering system, published on the Fairwood Lakes Facebook and event page. You can also order on arrival the morning of your visit, though availability may be limited. We kindly ask that families only consume food and drink bought from The Village Green or our main café.
MONDAY MINI DISCO WITH MUNCHIES AND MOJITOS
Give your family a treat in the holidays at our free Monday Mini Disco on 2nd August, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. We will be serving munchie boxes for teatime, making Mojitos for the grown-ups, and mixing some feel-good tunes for the children on our undercover “dancefloor” patio. To reserve a space for you and your family at our Monday Mini Disco, please email bookings@fairwoodlakes.com with your name and the number of adults and children attending, by Wednesday 28th July. This event is for members only and reservations are limited. If you haven’t been able to make one of our other summer events, get in quick with your reservation!
KEEPING YOU SAFE - UPDATED COVID-19 POLICY
While national restrictions have been lifted, our procedures at Fairwood Lakes remain the same for now. The safety of our guests and team remains paramount to keep everyone protected across the site. Please continue to help us do this by:
- Wearing a face mask inside the cafe building unless sitting at a table.
- Using hand sanitiser on entering and exiting the park.
- Respecting the 2m distance from others outside your household bubble.
- Recording your presence by using track and trace, either in the app or on paper.
- Using the one-way system to enter and exit the park.
As part of our ongoing safety procedures, the Fairwood Lakes team will continue with their thorough cleaning regime, including a daily deep clean of the indoor soft play.
