New Official Transition Initiatives

Since our last newsletter, Transition Humboldt (the 148th official Transition Initiative in the US) has passed the torch to Cooperation Humboldt, and Transition Rochester (Minnesota), the Phoenixville Area Transition Community (in Pennsylvania), and Kingston NY Transition have become the 165th, 166th, and 167th official Transition Initiatives in the US respectively.

Welcoming Staff

Transition US is excited to announce the newest addition to the staff, Ratih Sutrisno as our Communications and Outreach Coordinator! We look forward to her support in helping Transition US clarify its message, broaden its reach, and energize Transition Movement here in the United States. Get to know her.

We successfully raised $8,492 in our crowdfunding campaign for Transition Streets On-A-Budget! Because of you, we are ready to start pilot-testing Transition Streets On-A-Budget in six geographically diverse areas!

Call for Pilots for Transition Streets On-A-Budget

We are looking for up to six coordinators from different parts of the country to pilot Transition Streets On-A-Budget. Each project coordinator is eligible for a $700 stipend. Learn more.

Over the course of eight weekly sessions this September - November, participants will form mutually-supportive relationships with other participants, develop new abilities and knowledge, receive guidance for overcoming the specific challenges, and create a robust action plan to take their work to the next level. Holding What Is and Serving What Calls
