Cherry Cricket lands on Littleton Blvd.

Ground has broken on the future home of storied burger joint, Cherry Cricket. The much-loved local restaurant is coming to Littleton Boulevard in 2023. And with it, hopes for something of a Renaissance along that corridor. The new Cherry Cricket location is the site of the former Crestwood Cafe (and before that, Hasty House). We're looking forward to that Crispy French Onion Burger already!

Join us at the VL winter mixer at the Glass Half Full Taproom on February 23

We're kicking off the new year with a casual gathering at the Glass Half Full located in the Alamo Drafthouse at Aspen Grove. Meet old friends and new over drinks and bottomless bowls of popcorn The fun starts Thursday at 5 PM and runs till 7. A sweet bonus: there's a full menu if you want to stay and have dinner.

Homes for senior & disabled people on way at Powers and Elati streets

Getting housing built of all stripes is a daunting process but affordable housing always has additional hoops. The “Overlook at Powers Park” is finally under construction (Elati and Powers). Owned by the city’s public housing authority, South Metro Housing Options (SMHO), the 51 units will serve low-income seniors and disabled persons. It took years to get approvals from the Federal housing agency and the city’s rigorous entitlement process – not to mention be funded with the help of the highly coveted 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits for which there is tremendous demand throughout the State of Colorado. 

Introducing Littleton Social Cycle

We are so excited to introduce you to Colorado's newest social bicycle group ride! Littleton Social Cycle will be a cruiser ride for all ages and biking abilities. With LSC, you will get to know the local social cycle community while slow rolling around Littleton’s parks and trails. Like their page on Facebook Littleton Social Cycle and follow along on Instagram @LittletonSocialCycle to get notified of the first ride coming in the spring of this year. 

Why I'm voting "NO on 300" this March 7

“Without a doubt, the timing of elections determines voter turnout. Lower turnouts are a fact in off-cycle elections. This creates a strategic opportunity for small interest groups, who are the most mobilized, to inform and persuade voters to show up as the greater proportion of the voter turnout at these special elections. Therefore, Question 300 aims to empower the most organized special interests groups to drive our city’s policies. I want every general election vote to mean something in November, which is why I do not support Question 300.” — Katie M., Littleton District IV

J Claire Women's Fashion opens in Downtown Littleton

On December 16th 2022 the locally owned and operated J Claire Women' s Fashion opened it's doors. Located on W Alamo Ave between Rapp St and Curtice St, J Claire offers a mix of contemporary and unique clothing pieces and accessories. Get involved on local boards & commissions

Littleton has a slew of boards and commissions with important advisory roles in local governance. And they need your voice and energy to make them the best they can be. Applications are fairly simple -- and due by January 31, 2023. You can see a list of current vacancies on the Littleton city website. We encourage any of our VL members to step forward and apply. The application process is fairly simple and — huzzah — is now available using a simple Application Form found online.
