Paprika, an animated feature from Japanese director Satoshi Kon, is an dense and complicated mystery set in the world of other people's dreams.  Paprika's dreamscape is not a dreamworld of sterile gun battles and rain-slicked streets filled with faceless adversaries—the subconscious mind here is full of parading frogs, marching refrigerators, and cell-phone-headed businessmen.
While he's less well-known in the US than his contemporary Miyazaki, Satoshi Kon is one of Japan's most famous and popular animators.  Paprika, his fourth film, follows the a detective and a psychologist as they attempt to find a terrorist who's using a stolen piece of research equipment to infiltrate dreams.
Come over, brink snacks and friends, chairs if you've got them.  The film will start at sunset, but you're welcome to come beforehand and hang out and play with the chickens.
