Willingness To Serves -
This morning, the National Ballot Committee retrieved Willingness-to-Serves (WTS) for the upcoming Base President, Vice President and Base Council Representative elections for terms beginning when the Company combines Domestic and International operations. Due to the unusually large number of WTS's received, the NBC may not be able to announce the results until tomorrow.
2014 FSA Deadline  -
If you have an FSA or a Dependent Daycare FSA for 2014 and have money left in your account, you still have time to use the remaining funds for eligible expenses incurred by March 15, 2015. The deadline for filing for reimbursement for the expenses is June 15, 2015.  If you do not meet these deadlines you will not be able to utilize these funds.  It’s your money so don’t lose it.
APFA Facebook Q&A Page -
APFA has opened a Q&A page for active American Airlines Flight Attendants. Members will be verified against the current LAA and LUS rosters. There are specific guidelines that must be followed on the page designed to make it a productive experience for Flight Attendants to gather and disseminate information. Please review the guidelines carefully before posting.

PLEASE NOTE: Representatives will be available to answer questions from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. central time M-F (excluding staff holidays). Also, if your Facebook username is different than your name as written on your airline ID badge, please check your FB inbox or “other inbox” from one of the group admins requesting verification before you can be added.

In the Facebook search field, enter: APFA Q&As and request to join the group!

ABOUT APFA: The Association of Professional Flight Attendants, founded in 1977, represents the more than 25,000 active flight attendants at American Airlines. In November 2011, American’s parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Throughout the bankruptcy trial, APFA President Laura Glading served on the Unsecured Creditors’ Committee where she advocated for the American Airlines Flight Attendants. In February 2013, American and US Airways announced their intention to combine the carriers and on December 9, 2013, AA exited bankruptcy and the merger was final. Achieving a merger inside bankruptcy is unprecedented in the industry and would not have occurred without the efforts of American’s labor unions, particularly APFA.
