In the Name of God:
Cultivating Mission Empowered by the Trinity

September 18th, 2014   Carlisle, PA

Join other missional leaders from around the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic for our Fall Regional Gathering.  During this day we will be reflect on the reality that the New Testament gives a constant refrain that we are a people who live our life together in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit.  From our “being” to our “doing” and each space in between, our life and ministry is intended to be oriented and empowered by the Triune God.  So what does this trinity-shaped mission look like in philosophy and practice, especially for those called to care for new expressions of the Gospel amidst a shifting landscape.

If you are a missional leader who desires to be formed and informed by the ongoing life of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, join us for a day of soulful reflection, heart-opening discussion, and re-imagined mission. This gathering IS OPEN to all.

For those already attending the Missio Alliance Gathering on September 19 & 20, there is a small discount available by entering the code MISSIO during the registration process.

A Special

ANNOUNCEMENT

Two Church Planters Trainings To Be Held in 2015!!

After several years of holding our annual church planters training on the East Coast, we have decided that the time has come to multiply our locations.  Next spring we will hold our annual church planters training on the East Coast.  In addition, we will offer another training somewhere on the other side of the Mississippi.  Currently we are exploring options in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, and Minneapolis.  If you have an opinion on where we should go next - let us know by sending an email to bob.hyatt@ecclesianet.org

The Genesis Church Planters training has been formative in the cultivation of many churches both inside and outside of Ecclesia.  New staff member, Mark Moore, who previously served with Acts 29 and has been involved with several other planting initiatives says that Genesis was "the most comprehensive church planters training he has experienced."

Join the Preacher-Swap

One of the great values of our network is the shared journey of life and mission - both as leaders and congregations.  In the recent months a number of churches have leaned into some fruitful pulpit swapping.  Pathways Church, pastored by Stan Graham in Belair, MD has led the way in opening up the space for cross polination from others in the network.  Sahr Briwa from Bridge Community in Easton, Doug Moister from Renew Community in Philadelphia and Forrest Kemmerer of Redemption Church in Bristol have all taken a week away from their regular communities to speak at Pathways.  After his visit, Sahr had this to say, "The time with Pathways was encouraging, and mutually edifying.  I think these sort of 'offline moments' outside of regional/national gatherings, certainly allow for space not only to bond closer with fellow Ecclesia communities, but also to create momentum going into the national gatherings/conferences. It was great to relay with Pathways what Bridge has been up to, share ideas, as well as spend time having lunch with some of their crew afterwards."
On the same Sunday that Sahr "swapped" to Pathways, J.R. Briggs of Renew Community and an Ecclesia staff member, spoke at The Bridge.  In addition to Pathways and Bridge, J.R. Briggs was invited to The Well outside of Philadelphia PA and Cyd Holsclaw, one of the pastors at Life on the Vine in Chicago has been to Rhythm Church in Miami and Engage Community Church in Carlisle, PA.  Jon Hand, Lead Pastor at Engage relayed that "Cyd's visit came at an incredibly important moment for our young community.  Her pastoral presence in preaching and spending time with our congregation, as well as the blessing and encouragement that came next week when Life on the Vine as a whole church sent a video blessing to our whole church, were incredibly important in pressing us on towards the next chapter.  Thanks to that Ecclesia connection, we know we are not alone."
We would like to encourage others to set aside a week or two a year to invite another Ecclesia leader to share with their community.
