Sad. Depression rates in the United States have hit record highs, according to a survey conducted by Gallup. The percentage of US adults that have ever been diagnosed with depression has hit 29% this year. Additionally, nearly 18% of US adults report that they currently have or are being treated for depression. These are the highest levels recorded by Gallup since 2015, when it started measuring depression using its current form of data collection.
