Hi there,
Car-sharing services in Japan have realized that some of their customers aren’t actually driving the cars they rent. So they surveyed the customers to find out what they’re doing.
Turns out they’re using the cars for a little bit of personal space.
Some respondents said they rented the car for a place to nap or use as a quiet spot to work.
One guy said, "I rented a car to eat a boxed meal that I bought at a convenience store because I couldn't find anywhere else to have lunch."
The cars can be rented for half an hour for around 400 yen, or about $3.68. A small price to pay for a bit of privacy.
