We mined SVB’s investments to visualize its key VC relationships and which VCs invested before, with, and after SVB.

SVB’s fintech impact

Beyond banking and lending, SVB was also a technology partner to many fintech companies.

So its current situation may have significant impacts on the fintech ecosystem given many prominent fintech companies relied on it across many domains within fintech (as you can see below). 

We used CB Insights business relationship data to break down every fintech sector SVB touched and 45 companies affected by its uncertain future in this report.

Beyond tech, SVB was highly active in the healthcare/life sciences industry.

In fact, healthcare and life sciences companies represented 12% of SVB’s deposits and 36% of its off-balance sheet assets.
