Everything has changed. The sector composition of the S&P 500 has evolved significantly over the past 4 decades. For example, information technology and healthcare accounted for 40% of the market last year — up from just 20% in 1985. Meanwhile, energy, materials, and industrials’ share dropped from 34% to 13% over the same period, reflecting the broader shift from tangible to intangible investment. The people have spoken. This past Sunday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk polled users of the social media platform to see whether he should step down as head of the company. By the time the poll closed, 17.5M people had voted, with 57.5% of voters checking “Yes.” If Musk does indeed step down, that could potentially give him more time to focus on the other companies in his universe — like Tesla and SpaceX.

13 years later. James Cameron’s "Avatar" came out in 2009 and became the highest-grossing film of all time. Its sequel — "Avatar: The Way of Water" — recently came out, and consumer interest in the film bodes well for its performance at the box office. Of all the films listed above, the sci-fi sequel has the most US adults interested in buying a ticket — more than 1 in 5 plan to see the movie in theaters.
