From Missoula to Miami, the US is a hotbed of AI companies. 

In our latest US of AI map, where we show the most well-funded private AI company in each state, we see startups working across a range of industries. 

The Missoula, Montana company Aurelius Data is working on alternative medicines, and the Miami, Florida company DermaSensor on skin cancer. 

Even with Covid-19 impacting investment in startups, dollars to AI startups jumped 51% in the first quarter of this year. And the category saw 2 major exits in Lemonade and Zoox, in insurance and autonomous driving, respectively.

The long run
