To visualize the breadth and depth of the food tech landscape, we created a periodic table of 119 food tech startups and investors. The table covers startups targeting 11 food tech categories, including next-gen foods, restaurant delivery, and meal kits, as well as top exits and investors in the space.

There were over 15 deals to VC-backed companies in Amsterdam in 2016 year-to-date. Here are the 5 largest.
  • Avantium Technologies, a chemical technology company, raised a $22.7M Series E.
  • BUX, an app that allows for virtual investing as well as investing with real money, raised a $6.9M Series A.
  • inSided, a community engagement platform, raised a $6.59M Series A.
  • EclecticIQ, a cyber intelligence company, raised a $6.3M Series A.
  • Roamler, a provider of retail analytics, raised a $5.1M Series A.
