The staff ministry team are targeting Sunday 31st October for a likely return to gatherings. This will include options for welcoming all-comers, where possible, and ensuring care of the vulnerable, implementing an updated COVID safety plan. We will also continue to livestream the 9:45am service. (Dependent on the Public Health Order and Wardens' WHS risk assessments.) Look out for further details to come.
Minister's Letter- Sandy Grant
One of the most encouraging things over 17 years of ministry here is to pray with you.
Our Sunday services are generally full of prayer. You may think of the “prayer time” when one person leads us in prayers of praise and intercession for ourselves, our church and our world. And I continually find myself saying aloud ‘Amen’ to prayers led with such depth and breadth, and also reflecting the variety of personalities attending.
But our services have many more points of prayer than “the prayer time”. Think of a general thanksgiving or of confession, that give us words to take to God together, or most famously of the Lord’s Prayer. Think too of a preacher praying before or after teaching God’s Word, or a service leader opening in prayer, or closing with a prayer for blessing...

This term we are back in the gospels, looking at Luke with the topic of “Hope for a sick world”.There’s a social, youth camp (Lord willing) and the annual Christmas party at Stuart Park in December, which is the main thing we can say will definitely be on for all! Jump on the Zoom call this week, we can't wait to see you there!
SAVE THE DATE! The Christmas Women's Event scheduled for November 20 will be postponed until December 4, with the expectation of restrictions loosening before then. The event is planned for outside in the Cathedral grounds, 3-5pm. Stay tuned for more details!

Introductory Pastoral Care
"In March 2021, I completed the Introductory Pastoral Care Course with Anglicare as part of my professional development. I found the course to be very helpful in developing my listening skills and giving me confidence in conversations. The most helpful part for me was reflecting on conversations that I encounter, and how I can be better prepared to care for others by adding faith into my reflections."- Jodie. More info on upcoming course here.
