Every September we run an Annual Thanksgiving Day (ATD) appeal to express our thankfulness for the great gospel ministry at St Michael’s. We direct every single cent raised to Christian ministry and aid projects outside St Michael’s. Here is the list of projects for this year's Thanksgiving Day (September 19). Please consider giving electronically, making sure to label the description as 'ATD', details found below. Keep an eye on our website for ATD updates throughout the week.

Sunday 12 September 9:45am Livestream: Micah 6 6pm Zoom:
Can you recall when you heard of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York? I was just turning on the radio to catch the 11pm news, up late packing that Tuesday night with Karyn, in the Kurrajong minister’s residence, getting ready to leave on annual leave a day or so later. Within minutes the TV was on and we were stunned as we saw both towers collapse in real time.
Of course, it’s twenty years ago this month. No current school students were alive then.
But I remember it as the most significant public event of my lifetime, perhaps only matched by the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004, less than a month after I started here..
The following Sunday, we’d made it to Adelaide, and the minister there abandoned his regular preaching program. I’m pretty sure he reflected on Psalm 13...
Jenni Williams (11.30am and 5pm) has made an arrangement with Anglicare to deliver food items to their premises, which they greatly appreciate. Donations can be made IN A COVID SAFE WAY (masks on, one person at a time, no stopping to chat) to our office (Tuesdays 10-12) or to Jenni's home (front porch) in Balgownie. Please text Jenni for her address and leave items in a bag. You may like to collect from your growth group or neighbours. Jenni is also able to pick up in the Wollongong LGA.
