On Thursday, March 5th, the Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation will host its annual spring fundraising event, “An Evening Under the Stars”. This event will take place poolside at Amavida Living, from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The evening will feature food, cash bar, and musical entertainment. The highlight of the event is our auction both silent and live, featuring dining and adventure experiences.
Mission:
The Foundation has been raising funds for the past 16 years, (to date more than $1.5 million dollars) and using those funds to enhance the beauty and experience of Lakes Regional Park, located in Amavida's backyard. Current projects requiring funding include:
Ongoing improvements to the Botanic Garden, including completion of the “music park” in the Children’s Garden
Replacement of raised beds in the Community Garden, where gardeners learn to grow their own food and make regular produce donations to the Community Cooperative soup kitchen
STEM programming for Lakes Park summer campers
(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
