Web Animation Weekly

The holidays (hopefully) mean lots of time off. If you’re like me, you might be thinking, “This is the PERFECT time to hack on something!” In which case, there are two very special competitions you should get on: 

Are you a motion designer? Have work to show off? You can submit your motion design work to Motionographer's Motion Awards! Late deadline is February 14!

Into VR? Mozilla and Sketchfab are sponsoring a VR Experience Challenge. All you have to do is create a VR experience (app, game, interactive art) with AFrame and some adorable medieval components. Submissions are open until February 28! And the prizes are pretty rad.

Turns out I’m a judge on both competitions! All I can say is I can’t wait to see what you make!

[Inspiration] Dolby, Moonbot Studios, and Imogen Heap teamed up for this sci-fi animated short that blends stop motion sets with CGI.
