As some of you may know, Global Assistance is a program piloted last year in which we provide project trip opportunities for architects and designers, students and professionals who wish to travel overseas, experience other cultures and engage in the social sector of architecture and design. Inspired by programs such as the Peace Corps, Teach for America and Operation Crossroads Africa, we felt it was necessary to establish a design service corps in which we have established partnerships with international organizations and communities to deliver essential services and resources where they are unavailable and needed most. Whether you are an architect, designer, educator, donor or volunteer, individuals have the opportunity to make the greatest impact by choosing from a wide variety of projects addressing housing, health, education, water and sanitation. We hope you can join us in taking the leap abroad. More details about the program can be found here.

With the success of our student trip last year to Kenya, our goal this year is to continue to scale this program across universities, colleges and institutions and we'd love for all of you to get involved. We love nothing more than to collaborate with like minded individuals and organizations and if you have an interest in partnering, send us an email or drop us a line to say hello. We look forward to working with all of you and will keep you posted with project updates, trips and opportunities. Make sure to check out the rest of the highlights below, we've got some great things happening and more folks getting involved and joining our team!

With gratitude,

The Rebuild Global Team

AIAS Crit Publication

Last fall we had 6 students from Newschool of Architecture and Design, San Diego, CA who flew 9,000 miles to Kenya to participate in our Global Assistance Program. Their story was featured in a five page spread in Crit, the journal of the AIAS. Hear what they have to say and why their stories have inspired us!

People Building Better Cities

Giving kudos to projects that inspire us to go, go and go. Check out this project that a couple of us were involved with, People Building Better Cities, an exhibition designed to share and exchange knowledge, build networks and promote dialogue on people's participation in meeting the challenge of inclusive urbanization and climate change. Join the conversation and get involved.

Project Spotlight: Kenya

We are looking for your support to help design a high school and classrooms for a primary school serving more than 420 children.
