Our time at The Ravines helped us so much. We had to work through some hard issues but it's been worth it, because we love each other! from North Dakota
2016. . . A Year of Growth
This past year saw more couples than ever before coming to The Ravines for help. We praise God for preparing us for this increase.
We received 26 percent more inquiries in 2016 than the year before, and that translated into 49 percent more couples coming.
Most weekends saw two couples being served.
What does that mean?
We needed more scholarships, more food, more cleaning, more volunteers, more staff. More of everything! Our costs rose significantly.
From our 67 couples this past year, 173 children were impacted positively.
Most will now grow up in homes where there is a healthier marriage, often breaking generational patterns.
Our volunteers are the backbone of this ministry.
From providing transportation to and from the airport to greeting them when they tentatively walk in the door, our volunteers share love and hope with our couples at every opportunity. We had 9 active host couples at the beginning of 2016. Today we are thankful for 25 active host couples
. The hosts set the stage and care for our couples in so many tender ways as they work through issues which will impact the rest of their lives. We are so grateful for their ministry.
Our hosts were very helpful. They spent time talking with us and praying for us. We are grateful.
