Adult Craft Programs
We have some upcoming adult craft programs scheduled!
Scrapbooking for Beginners
Sat., Mar. 31, 2012, 9:30a-11a.
Do you have a desire to try scrapbooking but have no idea where to begin? We invite you to come to this program to learn layout and flow techniques from expert Ronette Krusa of Brimfield Stampin' Up! All you need to bring along are a few of your own photos that you would like to scrapbook. We'll provide all the supplies you will need to make a beautiful scrapbook page.
Scrapbooking Ideas
Sat., Apr. 28, 2012, 9:30a-11a.
Are you a scrapbooking fan or interesting in exploring scrapbooking? Join us at the Lillie M. Evans Library for a program for scrapbookers of all levels. Expert Ronette Krusa of Brimfield Stampin' Up! will be joining us again and sharing some examples of her scrapbooks and provide tips and tricks for beginners. Some materials will be provided, but those attending are encouraged to bring their own supplies reflecting their own style. Experience scrapbookers are encouraged to bring samples of their own work to share.
Flip-Flop Scrapbook Albums
Sat., May 5, 2012, 9:30a-11a.
Who says sandals are just for your feed? Local crafter, Kim Roberts, will lead participants in how to turn simple flip-flops into a one of a kind summer scrabook! Materials will be provided for each participant to make one flip-flop album.
These programs are free, but space is limited. Don't wait, these craft programs will fill up fast! Those interested should reserve a seat by calling the library at 309-385-4540 or by registering online through our website.
Get Fit @ Your Library!
For years the library has offered an adult yoga program featuring “Yoga for the Rest of Us” every Monday & Friday morning at 9:10a. Yoga is a great way to lengthen and strengthen muscles; it also helps improve balance and stability.
Over a year ago we added an adult Zumba class that meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:00p. This dance workout features Latin beats and dance moves that are lots of fun and a great way to burn calories. As the creators say, “Ditch the workout and join the party!” You don’t need to be a dancer or master a string of dance moves. Just keep moving!!! You’re burning more calories than anyone whose sitting on the couch.
Both of these classes are FREE and open to be public. No preregistration is required.
Watch our website for information on our next LME Biggest Loser coming in August!
That’s not all! We will be adding more programming throughout the spring so be sure to visit our website for updates and a link to a printable monthly calendar of events.
