Thank you for signing up for notifications about the COVID-19 vaccine. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine to North Shore residents.

North Shore Health Department Vaccine Information

On Monday, March 8th at 10:00 am, NSHD will send out a link to sign up for COVID-19 vaccine appointments for that week. North Shore Health Department is expecting to receive 498 doses of the Pfizer vaccine for the week of March 8th.

NSHD encourages the following eligible groups to sign up for an appointment through the link on March 8th:
  • Adults ages 65 and older
  • Frontline health care personnel
  • Residents and employees in skills nursing and long-term care facilities
  • Police and fire personnel, correctional staff

As of March 1st, new groups became eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. These eligible groups are also able to sign up using the link on March 8th and include the following in priority order:

  • Education and regulated child care staff
  • Individuals enrolled in Medicaid long-term care programs
  • Some public-facing essential workers
  • Non-frontline essential health care personnel
  • Facility staff and residents in congregate living settings.

All people who have signed up for the email list are receiving this sign-up regardless of your eligibility. Please review the currently eligible groups and only sign up for an appointment if you can attest to being a member of one of these groups.

Walgreens Vaccinations
Walgreens is participating in the Federal Retail Pharmacy Partnership Program for the COVID-19 vaccine. Wisconsin residents should visit Walgreens for information on how to sign up for alerts and to find an appointment.

Limited supplies of COVID-19 vaccines are now available at select stores to individuals 16 years of age and older (16 years of age and older for Pfizer; 18 years of age and older for Moderna) who meet state-specific eligibility criteria.

For those currently eligible in Wisconsin, including those 65+ years old, there are two options to sign up - online or over the phone.

Online
  1. Log onto to Walgreens on-line appointment scheduler (you will need to create a Walgreens account using an email address)  
  1. Log onto Walgreens APP on a cell phone and choose Find Care for the COVID Vaccine 
Over the Phone
  1. Call 1-800-WALGREENS and select Option 1 
  2. Please call your local Walgreens pharmacy

Adults Aged 65 Years and Older
Healthcare systems such as Froedtert, Ascension and Advocate Aurora are reaching out directly to their eligible patients. Health systems are encouraging patients to sign-up with their mobile apps or through their MyChart account to receive information about vaccination appointments. Check the website of the health system your doctor is affiliated with to learn more about how they are reaching out to eligible patients.  
 
* Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin is offering the vaccine to adults 65 and older. The best way to stay informed is through MyChart and the Froedtert & MCW mobile app.
*  Advocate Aurora Health is offering the vaccine to adults 65 and older.  The best way to stay informed is through the LiveWell app.  
Ascension is offering the vaccine to adults 65 and older. 
* ProHealth is offering the vaccine to adults 65 and older.
* COVID-19 Vaccines at the VA 

Health systems, like local health departments, also have a limited supply of vaccine, so it will likely take time for providers to contact all eligible patients. If you have already received a COVID-19 vaccine or have an appointment scheduled and do not want these continued updates, feel free to “unsubscribe” from this notification list.
