I PRAISE YOU LORD
- The summer of 2018 was a fantastic success.
The spiritual decision numbers are shown to the right – each a life that was impacted for Christ!
- We had a very dedicated team of counselors, summer staff, volunteers and speakers this summer, all a huge part of the life change that was seen throughout the summer. We’re so grateful for their heart and desire to serve the Lord.
- Elliott Ackerman has joined our full-time staff as the Adventure Experience Coordinator. He has a degree in Sports Management from EMU and four years serving on our summer staff.
- Campers and staff this summer came from thirty-three different states and at least six different countries.
- Brent Swensen coming back has been such a blessing. Our food reviews have been great all summer and we know they will be great for the fall retreat season.
- We are so thankful for Phil Bolthouse and our maintenance team. On top of all their regular duties throughout our grounds, they have done much to keep the cost of the A.R.C. facility down – saving thousands of dollars and upgrading much of the woodwork throughout!
- Plans for the fall Refresh: Ladies Retreats, Man Camp, Exiled, and Father Son retreats are going well. We anticipate this being a terrific fall of ministry, especially with the addition of the ARC. Strong guest group numbers this fall reflect the addition of the A.R.C. to what we can offer our guests.

I PRAY FOR:
- The final appeal letter has been sent for the A.R.C. project in which we’re asking for small contributions. The original appeal letters brought in hundreds of gifts averaging $601. We’re grateful for the large gifts, but we also want as many involved as possible to share in this project.
- A foundation has agreed to review our request for enough resources to finish the A.R.C. in the black. This foundation will review our request soon and we are praying that it will be approved.
- Our full-time staff have worked extra hard this year to serve our campers and to keep up with the demands of the A.R.C. project. Pray as they serve this fall that they will not grow weary in well doing.
- Jake Walton will be completing his short-term apprenticeship with us in November. Pray that we will find God’s very best to be our next Program Coordinator.
- The new L.I.F.T. intern team will be headed to South Africa in December to assist at Em’seni Camp with Henry Bro. Pray that their funds will come in to make this possible.
- A special request is to pray for the Born to be Brave one-day event as part of the Father and Son retreat in November. We want to pack the house!
