I Praise You Lord
- The combination of Born to be Brave and the Father Son retreat was fantastic! We had a total of 231 in attendance and we’re planning on hosting both again in 2019.
- The A.R.C. is in active service and we could not be more excited with how well it meets our needs. We are booking more groups throughout the year than ever before.
- The national camping conference that we hosted in November had camps in attendance from Alaska to New Jersey and it was well received.
- Andrew Postema, former L.I.F.T. Intern, reports that the Romanian camp we helped to start has now not only purchased property but it is in the process of being developed.
- The camp we’ve helped to start in Churachandpur, India now has not only a property but it has cabins, a dining hall and they are building a very nice chapel. What a blessing to see the fruit of the summer and Freeze Out offerings that Lake Ann Campers have given over the years.
- Jake Walton completed his 26.2-mile marathon to raise funds for a new cabin at the camp. We’re grateful that he finished his apprenticeship with us in a generous way of giving back to the ministry.
- The Evangelical Counsel for Financial Accountability (ECFA) has just recertified Lake Ann Camp. Their certification ensures that all gifts given to the camp are monitored by an outside organization and that they were spent for the purpose they were designated.
- Elliott Ackerman, our new Program Director, has a full slate of summer program directors that he is in the process of hiring. Summer 2019 looks to be another amazing season for the camp!
I Pray For:
- The A.R.C. is within $100,000 of being fully funded. Pray that it will be debt free soon!
- Our long-term debt from purchasing properties in the past 20 years has gone from $1,600,000 down to $487,000. We’re truly grateful for those who have helped to make this a priority and we are praying that it will be retired soon.
- Please pray for wisdom and discernment as our team is actively recruiting summer staff for 2019.
- Camp Captains are gearing up to get campers registered for next summer. There are already 1,048 campers are registered! Pray that they will help recruit more campers than ever before.
- An appeal letter was sent recently for year-end giving. While we have sent many letters this year pray that this one will not be overlooked and that God’s people will help us finish the year strong.
- As you read this Dave Lamb, Elliott Ackerman, Casey Sheridan, and Tim Hutton will be on the ground in South Africa helping Em’seni Camp run their summer camp program. This partnership began over 18 years ago with their director Henry Bro. It is wonderful to see how God has blessed this endeavor.
- Doug Miller and Meghan Reszka as they process contracts for guest groups who will be using the camp that we will be true to our mission and use our facilities wisely to impact our world for Christ.
