I Praise You, Lord:

  • Summer registrations are up by over 200 campers from this point last year!
  • Lake Ann Camp is partnering with a group in Cuba to help start a camp.  This is the 12th country where we’ve been able to support God’s work!
  • Our team has been hard at work for several months and the brand new lakeanncamp.com was launched in February! In the first week of our new website, we received inquiries from three new groups who are interested in coming to our grounds for retreats. We are excited to see how our new website helps us reach campers and groups!
  • Volunteer Ron Bouvier, who was in the hospital last month, is out and doing well.
  • Man Camp, our brand new outreach to men, is in the planning stages. We are excited to have speaker Knute Larson scheduled for the weekend. This new retreat will be September 28-30, 2018 and it will be a great event!
  • Our Freeze Out retreats have born much fruit as campers have accepted Christ as their Savior or made recommitments to Him.
  • The ARC is moving forward on schedule in spite of the winter weather. We are excited for the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on the weekend of September 1-2, 2018. The entertainment that weekend will include a grand fireworks display over the lake on Saturday night and lots of great activities for everyone to enjoy.
  • Summer hiring is going well. More than three-quarters of the counseling staff have had contracts sent to them, all of the program directors have been hired and many other positions are filling quickly with godly young men and women.
  • The response to the year-end appeal letter was very encouraging and we are optimistic that the ARC will be fully funded by opening day as God’s people continue to give generously.
  • The entire camp is being transitioned to natural gas, many cabins with new furnaces and water heaters that are up to 99% efficient. We are blessed!
I Pray For:
  • March 16-17 the Lake Ann Board will be meeting and considering a new board member. Pray for wisdom and for Doug Freeman as he consults with the board and staff on March 16.
  • A second appeal letter specifically for the ARC climbing wall will be going out soon. The total expense of the Entre-Prises climbing wall is approximately $150,000. Pray that supporters of our ministry will see this life-changing opportunity and will respond generously.
  • Continue to pray for safety as our staff continues to travel throughout the winter recruiting campers and summer staff members.
  • March is a big month for summer camper recruitment and we are very grateful for all the labors of our Camp Captains. Pray for their diligence and determination as they invite campers to come to Lake Ann Camp.
  • Each member of our L.I.F.T. intern team needs to raise $3,000 for their missions trip to Cuba in April. This is a big task and your prayers are appreciated.
  • Continue to pray for the ARC construction crews as they finish roofing and place the final trusses. Pray also that we will be a good witness to them.
