Peace Works program featured on CBS 58 Morning News
In early February, Kate Chappell of CBS 58 Morning News visited the Center for Peacemaking's Peace Works program in Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) Behavioral Reassignment (BR) schools. In these schools, the Peace Works curriculum helps students who have been expelled from traditional MPS schools learn how to manage their emotions and resolve conflicts nonviolently.

Marquette, Near West Side Partners announce 'Grocery Challenge'
Marquette University and the Near West Side Partners (NWSP) are partnering on a challenge project to bring a grocery store to the Near West Side. This initiative is one of many focused on community engagement and positive economic development that have launched in recent years. Included among these initiatives is Promoting Assets and Reducing Crime (PARC).
More than 160 Marquette University students, faculty, and staff have been involved in the PARC initiative and Patrick Kennelly, director of the Center for Peacemaking, is the project's primary investigator.
