Halloween is around the corner, and there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to get in on the fun! From festivities for families to volunteering:
Friday, Oct. 28, 1pm - Trick-or-Treating on Argyle with Goudy and McCutcheon 2nd Graders
Our office will join students and teachers from Goudy and McCutcheon schools as they trick-or-treat at Argyle businesses. We are looking for a few volunteers to assist with passing out candy and making sure our trick-or-treaters are safe. Please email email@example.com if you are interested in volunteering.

Monday, Oct. 31, 4:30 - 7:30pm - Trick-or-Treating in the Neighorhood
- 6th Annual 48th Ward Halloween Parade - Join us at 10am on the Peirce Elementary School playground, 1400 W. Gregory St., for games and entertainment with Dream Big Productions. The parade will step off at 11am sharp and will proceed west on Bryn Mawr to Clark Street, then north to Gethsemane Garden Center for its Halloween Festival. After the festival, enjoy trick or treating at Andersonville businesses! Click here for a complete list of participating businesses.
- Edgewater Fall Festival - 48th Ward residents, families and neighbors are invited to celebrate Halloween and all things fall from 4 to 6pm in the Swift School Playlot, 5900 N. Winthrop Ave. Kids and adults are invited to wear their favorite costumes and enjoy fun games, jewelry making, cookie decorating, trick-or-treating, face-painting, basketball and more. Children (Pre-K through 8th grade) are invited to enter a bike decorating contest - with prizes awarded. Local vendors (including Tina's Italian Ice and Popcorn, Apart Pizza, Lovely, Too and more!) will be selling food, and candy will be handed out to trick-or-treaters. Free gift bags from NewStory Church will be handed out to the first 100 families to arrive. You do not want to miss our first annual Edgewater Fall Festival!
Our office is looking for volunteer crossing guards at busy intersections in the Lakewood Balmoral and Edgewater Glen neighborhoods on Halloween night. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help.
