More than just a magazine . . .

If you’re already one of our subscribers, we know we needn’t tell you about the pleasures of Slightly Foxed. But if you’re a new reader or are considering taking out a subscription, for yourself or as a gift for a booklover, you might like to know about some of the additional benefits that come with your membership.

As well as your four printed issues each year, your subscription includes access to the full digital archive of back issues, preferential prices for books and goods, and early booking for events. And, from now on, your subscription also includes a number of offers from like-minded partners, such as the London Library, the Royal Society of Literature and the Library Club, among others. Please read on for more information about these exciting new perks, links to our new interactive index, and the digital edition of Slightly Foxed

We do hope you’ll enjoy these new additions to your subscription. We’ll be adding more membership benefits from new literary partners throughout next year. Rather rashly we’ve also decided that the spring issue will be packed up by the Slightly Foxed staff here in the office at our kitchen table (rather than by the printers) so we can enclose your new personalized membership card. But, we mustn’t get too far ahead of ourselves . . .

The winter issue (no. 52) was dispatched to subscribers on 14 and 15 November. In previous years our winter issue has been dispatched when it’s officially published on 1 December but so many of you have pleaded for a little more time for Christmas shopping that our printers, Smith Settle, have worked like dervishes and managed to finish the issue a few weeks early for us this year. It should start to arrive around the UK by the end of the week and overseas from the following week. Our overseas readers will be pleased to hear that, after the autumn issue debacle with an overseas courier, we’ve gone back to trusty airmail for this quarter’s dispatch.

If you need help or have any questions about any membership offers, you can always phone the office on 020 7033 0258 and speak to one of us for more information, write to us by post at 53 Hoxton Square, London N1 6PB, or email Hattie on all@foxedquarterly.com to request a printed copy of membership offers or the Slightly Foxed index.

With very best wishes, as always from the SF office staff
Jennie, Anna, Olivia, Hattie, Katy & Alarys

We are privileged to have such nice subscribers. Your letters, emails, cards and phone calls bring us great cheer throughout the year.

‘Autumn Slightly Foxed received as ever a tonic of inspiration and pleasure. Thank you!’ M. Wren, Ely

‘I can confirm that my Autumn issue of Slightly Foxed has indeed weathered the storms, rounded the Cape and sped along the roaring forties to land safely in my letterbox in the wilds of suburban Melbourne, where it is ‘Sprinter’ or early Spring. The wattles are flowering, the magpies are swooping and it is very, very wet. In other words, the perfect time to enjoy the garden through the window, from the comfort of the sofa with a nice cup of tea and the latest issue of SF.’ G. Heydon, Australia

‘My partner is absolutely loving his birthday subscription gift! We’ve just returned from a few days away and he was so pleased to get No. 51. Many thanks for your careful attention to detail in all respects of Slightly Foxed.’ P. Watson-Farrar, Norfolk

‘Thank you for the final two volumes of the Carey novels which we received today.  The real intended recipient is my grandson, Ted, currently aged 3½ years, is a little young – but it won't be long.  In the meantime, certain adults in the family have been enjoying the series! Thank you all at Slightly Foxed for your contribution to our reading pleasure.’ P. Penneycard, Cornwall

From Abbey, Edward to Zweig, Stefan

The Slightly Foxed index is an invaluable tool for navigating your collection of back issues or deciding which issues to catch up with and our new interactive online index is now live. We hope you’ll enjoy using it.

Jennie’s project for the New Year is to add all the articles from back issues and link them up to the index so you can read the full archive on our website as well as via Exact Editions and the Slightly Foxed app, and send single articles to fellow booklovers too. Watch this space.
