Would you like to meet the key decision makers from some of Australia’s top broadcasters?
Screenworks is bringing the commissioning editors and heads of department from some of Australia’s leading networks to the region to talk about what they are commissioning and how to pitch to them.
Guest speakers include Jim Buchan - General Manager Factual Acquisitions Foxtel, Penny Winn - Head of Drama Foxtel, and Rick Maier - Head of Drama Network 10.  More guest speakers and event details to be announced shortly, keep an look out on the events page on Screenworks website

If you have a concept that you are developing and want to pitch to the visiting broadcasters, expressions of interest for One on One meetings will close soon. Contact events@screenworks.com.au with the details of what you would like to pitch.

One on One Meetings will be held 4pm - 6pm Thursday Feb 26 at the Byron Regional Sports and Cultural Complex.  The meetings are strictly for Screenworks members and by appointment only, the cost is $15

If you’d like to learn screenwriting from home, AFTRS Open online courses Screenwriting for Film Online and Writing for TV Online start in early February.

Lismore TAFE

Lismore TAFE is offering a Certificate IV in Screen Media and a Diploma in Screen Media.  Both are one year, full time courses where you can learn and develop your video production expertise in a wide range of screen formats.

These courses will help you develop valuable skills for working in the screen & media industries or you can take advantage of the TAFE to University pathways offered, giving you advanced standing towards a media degree.

Volunteers and deferred payment options

Screenworks member John Rado has teamed with actor Tony Barry and Screenworks board member Adam Van Kempen to produce a feature film Who Unlocked the Gate? - a zany comedy adventure with a cast of humane, beautiful characters who challenge the rapacious greed of short-sighted corporations and corrupt politicians. 

Starring Tony Barry. Directed and written by Daryl White and Produced by John Rado.
