" He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust. ."
(Psalm 91v1-2)
You will remember that back in January 2022 we featured a fundraising campaign we were running to provide a borehole and WASH Education at each of the two health facilities built by SIM with support from their partners ECWA. We were seeking to raise £30,035 for the entire project We want to Thank You for enabling us to reach our target. We have now completed work at one of the health facilities and work at the other will be completed by the end of this month. Eight thousand local residents now have much-needed healthcare locally but more importantly, the facilities will be a constant reminder to them of Christ’s love and compassion.
Ben Udejiofo, our CEO, visited Holy Trinity School, Walsall back in January. He was very well received by the pupils and teachers at the school.
The Covid-19 restrictions meant that the Assembly had to be split into two, one in person for Key Stage 1 in the Hall and online for the Key Stage 2 Assembly also from the Hall. Following the online Assembly, Ben visited each of the four Key Stage 2 classes to take questions.  The questions were very well thought out and showed a great appreciation of the challenges that children like them faced. The pupils were very keen to know how TASTE is helping to solve these challenges and what they could do to help.
The School had, prior, to the visit provided every pupil with bottled water which they were encouraged to drink in the course of the day and once the bottle is empty to fill as much of it as they can with loose change and bring it into School to be forwarded to TASTE.
Ben was very ably supported by the School’s Worship Leaders (pictured) and would like to say a huge Thank You to them and all at Holy Trinity School. A specially Thank You goes to Becky Graham, the Headteacher for her lovely School and the very warm welcome Ben received and the support shown to TASTE and by extension the vulnerable communities in Nigeria.
Will you take our challenge?
