$10 Million in 10 Years!

YOU DID IT! Our excellent supporters and volunteers propelled the National Inclusion Project beyond the $10M mark in total income in our 10th year of existence. It is always nice to recognize milestones, but especially at this time of year – a time of thanksgiving, peace, joy, and hope. Through your support we collectively have opened doors to over 50,000 children that otherwise would not have had the opportunity to play and make friends.

Your love for children and caring hearts has opened doors and created an environment where all children belong. The appreciation we have heard from many of our campers can be summed up in the words of this song, which I am sure most of you are familiar, "Because You Loved Me".

Update on 2014 Partners

We are excited to be in the process of choosing our new Let’s ALL Play partners for 2014. Thanks to your generous support, we should have over 100 Let’s ALL Play programs next year that we are partnering with through training, our Power of Play conference, funding, and ongoing networking and consulting.

This year we moved our proposal process online, and, while we had a few glitches to be expected with new technology, the proposals rolled in. We have over 25 states represented in the proposals, including 3 new states where we currently do not have partners.

Look for an announcement early next year as to where we will be and then check out the calendar to see if there will be a Let’s ALL Play Training in your area. We’d love to see you there!

Wrapping for Inclusion

WFI is underway! Hundreds of volunteers are braving the cold and crowds to spread the message of inclusion with those shoppers looking to get their gifts wrapped.

Check out our WFI page to see where you can volunteer, get gifts wrapped, or support in some way. Special thanks to all of our WFI Coordinators and Volunteers!

We are excited to hold our 4th Annual Power of Play Conference on April 9-10, 2014 at Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh. This year we are expanding our audience to include not only recreational professionals, but also specialists, educators, and parents.

Tim Harris and Dwayne Ballen have graciously agreed to be our opening and closing keynote speakers following up on their powerful appearances at this year’s Champions Gala. We will also have representatives from TEACCH; Foundation for Respect Ability; the Center for Social Development and Education; as well, as numerous other professionals who will make this conference the best one yet.
We encourage our supporters to attend this event. It is a fantastic way to meet and see in action the people who your time and money affects. You will also gather a ton of useful information to use as you continue to spread the mission of inclusion in your community. Go to our website for more info and to register. See you in Raleigh in April!

Support the Project while you shop!

Christie's Cookies has again agreed to give 20% of their proceeds to the Project from all purchases of two of their holiday cookie tins between now and the end of the year. Check out details on their website.

As you are shopping online this season, do not forget to use Goodsearch and iGive to send a little back to the Project. Every search and purchase made through these sites adds up throughout the year to help the Project make inclusion possible.

We are proud to announce that we have been honored with a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest evaluator of charities. They provide ratings for over 5,000 American charities based on Financial Health and Accountability and Transparency.

We are also excited to announce that we have received the GuideStar Exchange Gold participation level, a leading symbol of transparency and accountability provided by GuideStar USA, Inc. Check out their website for more information and  to leave a review of the Project.

Year-end Gifts!

People support an organization because they care about the mission and how an organization is making a difference. However, year-end is the time to remind all of us about the tax benefits of charitable giving. If you have things that you are still looking to do in this area, we hope you consider the National Inclusion Project.

All donations need to be processed online by 12/31/13 and checks forwarded must be postmarked by this date. Your support of any amount is greatly appreciated!
