Farm-to-Table Tea
A local tea movement is brewing.
When Jessie Dean brews a steaming mug of tea, she knows the origin of each ingredient. In Ginger Turmeric tea, the ginger was grown on A Way of Life Farm, Rayburn Farm grew the turmeric, and the lemon balm was sourced from Gentle Harmony Farm.

Dean worked with farmers in her hometown of Asheville, North Carolina, to source ingredients for local brews, and spent countless hours experimenting with recipes to create farm-to-teacup blends. MORE >>
GROUND CONTROL TO LAUNCH NEW BREWER AT SCA EXPO

Attendees of the SCA Expo will be among the first to experience the completely redesigned Ground Control II twin batch brewer. Voga Coffee's patent pending technology consistently extracts a cleaner, sweeter, more full-bodied and balanced cup than any manual or automated brewing method. The sleek, slender new design fits on the same footprint as comparable commercial batch brewers, while an easy-to-use touchscreen interface enables baristas to dial in up to fifty custom recipes yielding between two liters and 1.5 gallons of coffee on each brew station in approximately six minutes. MORE >>
ICT EXPO DRAWS RECORD NUMBER OF VISITORS; CHAMPIONS CROWNED

Last weekend in Singapore, the International Coffee & Tea Expo and Sweets & Bakes Asia captivated more than 11,000 visitors with a multi-sensorial showcase. The concurrent shows ran over three days and hosted 168 exhibitors from around the world, offering solutions for new recipes, better tasting products, and productivity. The show also crowned Singapore's national champions: Terence Tan, Barista Championship; Jervis Tan, Latte Art Championship; and Rodman Chan, in both the Brewers Cup Championship and Cup Tasters Championship.  MORE>>
DRINK GREAT COFFEE, GIVE CLEAN WATER 

Following a recently announced partnership with nonprofit organization Neverthirst Water, Royal Cup Coffee made a first-quarter donation of nearly $29,000. The company has been raising funds for clean drinking water through their Roar coffee line, donating $0.02 for every serving. In just three months, the partnership raised enough funds to provide potable water for 1200 people. MORE>>
SISTERS COFFEE COMPANY TO UNVEIL FLAGSHIP REMODEL

Sisters Coffee Company will unveil a completely revamped café in Sisters, Oregon, next week, showcasing a variety of new features and additions. Under the direction of Portland-based architects at Guggenheim Studio, the new store will incorporate state-of-the-art brewing equipment to improve bar flow while offering the highest-quality drinks possible—including a Modbar pour-over system and two Linea PBs with auto brew ratio capacity. The new remodel has been a long time collaboration between siblings Jared, Justin, and Jesse Durham, who run Sisters Coffee together. MORE>>
