“Fleeting Beauty. Eternal longing.”

That’s the human condition. Just like the Moleskine says.

We live in a such a fleeting universe, and we know it. Yet paradoxically, we also have the capacity to grasp eternity. To contemplate God... or something else altogether.

This fleeting-eternity paradox, this tension, is what makes being human so damn interesting.

So I drew a cartoon about it, of course... trying to capture a sense of awe and wonder from nothing more than little, fleeting lines. Again, the aforementioned paradox.

As a finished piece, I would say the best place to hang it would be THE place where you get your best thinking done. Somewhere quiet and meditative: a home office, maybe, or the downstairs bathroom...? Heh.

Hugh's one of a kind hand-drawn Moleskines.

Every few months, Hugh sits down, opens a new Moleskine notebook and draws, usually what results is a beautiful, delicate and poignant image, often about the meaning of life and love.

There are only 3 in the gallery. You can view them HERE

All are original drawings in pen and ink, hand-signed by Hugh. Prices include framing in deep box frames and shipping.
