Ask most folks how to create true Innovation, and they almost always stare back at you...unknowingly thinking just what Judge Potter Stewart thought when he famously opined, "I know it when I see it". Of course an unknown abstraction is impossible to describe. The act of creating innovation isn't easy, and for some it even seems like an act of god.
At the same time, how is it that some people/companies are capable of constantly innovating? We all think of tech when we think innovation, but innovation surrounds us. Baby strollers, food, cosmetics, drugs. It's everywhere.
How do you summon those innovation juices when you need them? Can it be formulaic? Are there specific actions that you can take to get you into that space where you discover new insights and turn them into new business?
It's a given that innovation happens at the edges, but how do you find the edge of your product of service? Once you are there, then what?
These are the ideas that we focus on, finding those edges, and creating new approaches.
We'll be launching our new website soon, and they'll be a lot of cool links to content that'll help you get into that innovation flow.
In the meantime, this wacky drawing is just the thing you need where you do your brainstorming - to remind you where to keep looking. Print this email, or if you love it, buy it here.
