Why study anything? One reason is to achieve that deep understanding of systems and relationships. To learn how things interact and be able to anticipate actions and outcomes. As we grow more experienced, our decisions become more intuitive, our hunches better based upon our understanding of and experience with underlying principles.
That is the beauty of knowledge, once we understand those principles, we can choose how to use them, and what method to use to achieve our own innovative solutions.
